Malham is located in the southern part of the Yorkshire Dales National
Park and is famous for its spectacular limestone scenery and historic
landscape.

The Old School, Grade II Listed, dating from 1717, was originally
the Malham village school house and is within 5 minutes walking distance
of Malham village. It is detached with an enclosed garden and has
beautiful views of the surrounding limestone fells.
The cottage has been recently extended and modernised to provide accommodation
for 4 people. A discount is offered for 2 people.
Sorry but no dogs or young children.
In 1947 Arthur Raistrick wrote:
"Malham Raikes Road proceeds steeply uphill to the plateau
and a road turning off left goes towards the village. On the topside
of this green is the old school house, now unused and falling into
decay. Its origin is unknown but a date stone over the door has the
initials RW.RA and the date 1681 and this stone belongs to an older
building which occupied the site before the present one."
